The vine years<\/h1>\n

2013 vine year<\/h2>\n

The 2013 vintage was a little later than usual.<\/p>\n

A rainy winter was followed by a spring with temperatures below average and slowed budding. This brought 2 major advantages:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. It significantly reduced the risk of frost, which is particularly important for the vineyards in Chianti Classico.<\/li>\n
  2. It gives you a little more time to do your first foliage work. This in turn increases the quality of the selection.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The temperature rose sharply from mid-July. The great weather and summer temperatures shaped the entire summer without mutating into a major heat wave.<\/p>\n

    In September we experienced relatively large temperature fluctuations between day and night, which led to a harmonious and complex ripening of the grape berries. We started the harvest on August 30th in Maremma with the Viognier and on September 15th in the Chianti Classico with the Sauvignon Blanc. On October 4th We were able to look back satisfied and relaxed on a great wine year, which exceeded our expectations not only in terms of quality, but also in terms of quantity.<\/p>\n
