The winter was marked by heavy and frequent rainfall, which continued into the spring. Since many buds had only just started to swell in early April, the frost from the night of April 6th to 7th caused little damage.<\/p>\n
Due to the consistently warm temperatures from mid-May and the abundant water reserves, the vines developed excellently. From July onwards, we often had temperatures between 35 to 40\u00b0C, but fortunately, we also experienced regular localized thunderstorms that helped reduce the heat and drought stress somewhat.
At the end of July, we had to further reduce the yield to ensure optimal ripening of the grapes.<\/p>\n
The harvest began on August 26th with the Merlot. Four weeks later, we concluded with the Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes were optimally ripe, the stems lignified, the berries healthy with high sugar content, good acidity, and very high polyphenols.<\/p>\n
We expect very nice, balanced wines typical of the terroir.<\/p>\n
