In September 2021, Brancaia’s flagship product, the IL BLU, will celebrate its 30th birthday with the 2018 vintage. And for Barbara Widmer, the managing director and oenologist of Brancaia, the 2018 harvest was the 20th harvest and she is also celebrating a milestone birthday this year – her fiftieth.[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text module_class=”ba-title-lead” _builder_version=”4.9.1″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n
It is very clear that there are so many big birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate – Corona or not. There will be different publications. For example, the German magazine \u201cCredum\u201d has agreed to publish a special article on the 40-year history of Brancaia and the 30th anniversary of Il Blu. And we are planning a very special cookbook for our loyal Brancaia customers towards the end of the year.<\/p>\n

Our Swiss importer and sister company, Vinothek Brancaia, will hold an online live tasting with Barbara Widmer in spring. The Brancaia vinotheque plays an important role in the development of the winery and sold the first Brancaia wine in 1983 with the Chianti Classico. For the 40th anniversary of the winery, Brancaia and the Vinothek Brancaia decided to bring an “Edizione Limitata Brancaia 40 Anni” from Chianti Classico 2019 to the Swiss market. The Chianti Classico will appear with its new label for the first time.<\/p>\n
The Il Blu 2018 will be available from September. 2018 was a fantastic year that does justice to the big anniversary in every way. For this special occasion, the Il Blu is being launched in a limited edition with an anniversary wooden box and a festive label.<\/p>\n
These are just a few of the activities we are planning. Of course, we very much hope that we can really celebrate at the winery. We are already looking forward to many unforgettable moments together in this anniversary year.<\/p>\n
