Description

ILATRAIA is the first wine from our vineyards in Maremma: an intense and elegant wine typical of its terroir and vinified in a modern manner. For centuries, the name Ilatraia has been the name of a hill at Brancaia in Maremma where, today, our best Petit Verdot is grown.

Climate and microclimate Mediterranean climate with very hot summers and very mild winters. Massive differences between day and night-time temperatures. A nearly constant coastal breeze assures a continuous ventilation of the vineyards.

Tasting note

Aromas of blackberries, raspberries and hints of tar follow through to a full-bodied palate with supersilky tannins and a long finish.

Food with balanced, intense flavours, meat and game dishes fried or stewed, poultry such as pigeon or pheasant.
