The vine years
Vintage 2025
The 2025 vintage was characterized by a cool and rainy spring, which favored good vegetative growth of the vines.
In June, the weather was very hot and dry, resulting in an absence of fungal diseases and allowing us to significantly reduce treatments.
July was unusually cool, so the vines experienced no stress during their vegetative and productive cycle. The veraison started early and was very uniform — an advantage that was also reflected in the timing of the harvest.
The harvest began on August 18 in Maremma with Merlot for the Rosé. In Chianti, it traditionally started with Sauvignon on August 28. The Merlots were harvested during the first two weeks of September. The Sangiovese harvest began on September 7 in Brancaia and concluded on September 21 in Petroio. The final grapes to be picked were the Cabernet Sauvignon, harvested on September 23 in Brancaia.
At the time of harvest, the grapes were healthy and showed an excellent balance between sugar levels and acidity.
