The year 2009 was characterized by average temperatures and rainfall. As a result, the soil’s water reserves were able to replenish optimally.
Thanks to the rather hot and dry summer, the potential for fungal diseases was so low that the number of treatments could be significantly reduced.
From mid-August onwards, there were large fluctuations between day and night temperatures, a factor that was extremely helpful for the perfect ripening of the grapes. The grapes reached a perfect physiological ripeness, a good acid structure and great aromatic complexity.

Siamo aperti per visite e degustazioni presso la nostra cantina a Radda in Chianti dal lunedì al venerdì dalle 10 alle 18. I weekend solo su prenotazione.
L’Osteria Brancaia rimane aperta fino al 6 gennaio a pranzo (dal mercoledì alla domenica), a cena solo su prenotazione (dal giovedì al sabato). L’Osteria propone per il pranzo di Natale (25 dicembre) uno speciale menù.
Il Bar Brancaia a Castellina rimane aperto dal mercoledì alla domenica fino al 28 dicembre. Riaprirà il 14 febbraio 2026.
We are open for visits and tastings at our winery in Radda in Chianti from Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Weekend visits are by appointment only.
Osteria Brancaia will remain open until January 6 for lunch (Wednesday to Sunday). Dinner is by reservation only (Thursday to Saturday).
On Christmas Day (December 25), the Osteria will offer a special Christmas lunch menu.
Bar Brancaia in Castellina is open from Wednesday to Sunday until December 28. It will reopen on February 14, 2026.
